Education

BS in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Baptist University (Shawnee, OK)

Experience

After college, Mandi taught as a 2nd grade homeroom teacher and an adult ESL instructor. Her ESL experience inspired a move to Beijing, China in 2010 where she taught fourth through eighth grade language arts. In Beijing, Mandi also met her husband, Jonathan. She came to call the Wheaton area home when Jonathan completed his graduate studies at Wheaton College. After another 3-year stint in Beijing, the Shields settled in Warrenville with their three lovely children in December of 2019. Mandi is thankful for the Lord bringing her family to Clapham where she joined the faculty in 2020.

Interests

Mandi enjoys a good cup of coffee, conversations with friends, reading and playing with her children, and learning about other cultures.

Church

Mandi and her family are members of Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Wheaton.
