David has had a variety of positions in both state government and finance, most recently working as the Deputy Director of Debt for the State of Maryland where he was responsible for Maryland's general obligation bond program and capital lease program. He loves to teach, has led Bible studies and has long considered teaching Upper School Math and Economics. David joined the Clapham School faculty in 2019, teaching Pre-Calculus and Caluculus in the Upper School. He transitioned to the position of Financial Manager in the summer of 2021.
In his free time, David loves reading anything from a challenging educational book to a great story and anything from science to sci-fi. He loves playing board games, enjoys relaxing outside by either water or fire. When he goes back to Wisconsin, he loves spending time with his 27 nieces and nephews.
David and his wife Danna are members at College Church in Wheaton.
