BA in English with Honors from University of Rochester
MFA in Writing from Washington University in St. Louis

Experience

Kelsey has been teaching at the university and secondary school level for nearly 10 years, most recently at Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy in Nashville. She began her career teaching writing, rhetoric, and literature at the University of Rochester, SUNY Geneseo, and Pennsylvania State University. She is also an active writer, having published in numerous literary journals and received the 2019 PEN/Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers.

Interests

Kelsey enjoys reading, writing, baking, attempting to master the art of French cooking, goofing around with her girls, and following the professional tennis tour.

Church

Kelsey, her husband Ryan, and their two girls attend Church of the Redeemer (ACNA) in Nashville, but they will soon be searching for a new church around Wheaton.
