B.Mus. in Music History and Literature from Illinois State University

M.Div., Th.M. in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School

Ph.D. in New Testament from University of St Andrews, Scotland


Dr. Egan previously worked at Clapham from 2009 to 2014. After leaving Clapham he worked at Providence Classical Christian Academy in St. Louis as Dean of the Upper School. Dr. Egan is also an Adjunct Professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, teaching weekend modular courses in New Testament. He is also Professor of New Testament Studies and Hermeneutics at Kings Evangelical Divinity School, an online seminary based in Kent, UK. In 2016 he published his first book, Ecclesiology and the Scriptural Narrative of 1 Peter (Wipf & Stock). Dr. Egan regularly writes on the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern research at Educational Renaissance. In 2019 Patrick returned to Clapham School as Dean of the Upper School.


In his free time he enjoys running, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.



Patrick attends All Souls Anglican Church with his family.
