Shauna Shurba

Experience

Shauna discovered the importance of Christian classical education as she began the process of putting her children in public school. After seeing the need for them to be nurtured in the good, the true and the beautiful, Shauna began her career as a home educator. Following 12 years of home educating, Shauna worked as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at a local church before joining Clapham School faculty in 2016.

Interests

Shauna is a voracious reader with interest in a wide variety of subjects. When not reading, you can find her cooking, bullet journaling or walking her dogs. Shauna also enjoys teaching little ones to know and love the truth, as our school song refrain says, “It’s truth for life in Jesus Christ.”

Church

Shauna and Joe, her husband of 30+ years, are members of The Orchard Church in Itasca.
