Servant Leadership
At Clapham, our vision is to “equip young men and women to intentionally serve Christ by cultivating his goodness, truth and beauty in the world."
A focus on serving those around us is crucial to avoiding the problems of entitlement and elitism. We intentionally train our students from a young age by giving them class jobs and responsibilities. Our students are treated as leaders and included in the daily life of the school.
Developing Future Leaders
We have designed service projects and leadership opportunities to help develop in them the heart and skills of service. Some examples of this include:
- Volunteering with Feed My Starving Children
- MSHV Donation Drive for Veterans
- Good Neighbor Kit Drive for Refugees
- Fall Day Retreat for Secondary School students
- Student Leadership courses in the Upper School
Our hope and prayer...
…for the students at Clapham School is that they would develop a sincere love for God’s truth and His Word, that they would be articulate in the way in which they engage others with truth, and that they would develop a heart for service that will allow them to represent Christ in a humble and winsome way.
“No man has the right to be idle. Where is it, that in such a world as this, health and leisure and affluence may not find some ignorance to instruct, some wrong to redress, some want to supply, some misery to alleviate.”
William Wilberforce
