Experience
Prior to coming to Clapham, Stephen served as a professor for 15 years. He has published essays in British Journal for the History of Science, The Journal of the International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science, Studies in History and Philosophy of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, and elsewhere. He is editor of Darwinian Evolution and Classical Liberalism (Lexington) and co-editor of Human Dignity in Bioethics (Routledge). Stephen has presented his research at a variety of professional conferences, including meetings of the History of Science Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Philosophical Association, American Political Science Association, and the like.
Interests
Stephen enjoys reading, bowhunting, and spending time with his family.
Church
Stephen and his family are new to the Wheaton area. They are currently looking for a church.
Education
BA in Communications from Thomas Edison State University
Experience
Kathleen spent a year as a 5th grade teacher apprentice at Archway Classical Academy, a Great Hearts school, in Chandler, Arizona. Throughout high school and college, she taught private violin and piano. In addition, she taught 6-8th grade science at a hybrid school for two years. Kathleen has also enjoyed working as a youth leader with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls at her church.
Interests
In her free time, Kathleen enjoys running, journaling, working out, camping, hiking, do-it-yourself projects, playing violin and piano, and Friday night pizza with her family.
Church
Kathleen is a member at New Covenant Bible Church in St. Charles.
Education
BS in History and a minor in Religious Studies from the University of North Alabama
MA in History of Christianity from Wheaton College
Experience
While a student at the University of North Alabama, Jarrett served as a host for the university’s Baptist Campus Ministries. He was a Chemistry major before switching his major to History. After college, Jarrett went on to work for Wheaton College’s Discipleship Ministries program where he led small groups, wrote ministry curriculum, and organized ministry events. Jarrett has also worked as a substitute teacher for Community Unit School District 200.
Interests
Outside of work, Jarrett enjoys reading the classics from Christian history, taking road trips, playing board games and video games, playing tennis, expanding his vintage Lego collection, and spending time with his wife. On the weekends, you will likely find him watching Auburn football or Atlanta Braves baseball.
Church
Jarrett and his wife currently attend Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, IL.
